Did you just get served?
If you were served with a Summons and Complaint for divorce, custody, child support, alimony, marital property and/or attorneys fees, you must file the Answer within a certain period of time.  If service took place in Maryland, you must file an Answer within 30 days after service.  If you were served out of the state but within the U.S., you must file an Answer within 60 days after service.  If you were served out of the country, you must file within 90 days from the date of services.

In cases involving alimony and/or child support where the parties' joint, annual gross income exceeds $180,000 the long form financial statement must be completed and filed.  Otherwise, the short form statement financial statement must be used in child support cases with a joint, annual income less than $180,000.
